Art is anything that has been created by anything. Anything can be art. This picture I took at the fair is art. Art is something that someone finds interesting, beautiful, inspirational, or makes you feel any kind of emotion. If you find something that an animal, the sky, yourself or any object has created an inspiration or something to look at, it's an artwork.
The theme our table chose was adventure and so I used elephants as my artwork idea. I used the four mediums paper, marker, canvas, and acrylic paint. I used my own ideas by chosing to put the acrylic paint on in layers of bubble wrap on top of my layer of plain brushed on paint. The only inspiration source I had was an elephant drawing on Pintrest I saw that I liked, making me want to use elephants in my project. I learned how to use bubble wrap and use it to create a cool design and how to make the bubbles more distinct or faded, depending on how I wanted the space to look. This is my artist communicate journal page inspired by "lightbulb" and colors. I chose to make watercolored light bulb shaped rainbows. I chose to do that because colors are a part of the light spectrum and it worked to make a lightbulb. I worked on the PowerPoint with Greg and Danny. For our presentation, we all took a few slides each, and spoke about them and explained our art pieces. We were inspired by Impressionism. My piece is a lot like it because it has a lot of small and simple strokes and has an earthy feel to it. The piece I was inspired by is an African piece called Braided Crown (Adé). It is by an unknown artist but I had used it to inspire me, instead of making a braided vase, I made knotted bracelets. The bracelets were like the piece because they are an everyday object, that I made by knotting, which is similar to braiding. I picked to use that piece because I was into how it was braided and not just painted like all vases are. I didn't use technology, I only used my hands and string. I gave away the bracelets to others so they've been spread around the community. (Create original art and global awareness) In this project I took my old frogs and bubbles project and ripped it up and dunked it in coffee. This was to represent an old artwork that's been destroyed and forgotten and just ignored and pushed off, making it turn old looking and ratty with the coffee and being torn up. If I was to do this again I would try and burn some edges to help make it look worn and old. I couldn't find our piece on YouTube but I have a screenshot of how it's the Mario piece. Durring this project, me Peyton, Morgan, Kiran, and Danny all learned how to make a story with pictures and make them barely change between intervals to make a good stop motion video. Durring the project we would all ask each other if our art that we made for the different intervals looked good and if it made sense to use. We used Peyton's idea of a Mario game story to create the stop motion. In our work we used Mario while making it a different story outside of just inside the game but into the real world also. This project was made my me, Kiran, and Morgan. This project taught me how to be slow and precise about everything I do otherwise I can mess up. This piece is successful because our story was understandable. If we were to do this project again I think we would all change how we went too far inbetween pictures and made it sloppy. Durring this project, the whole class got together and created a few fortune tellers and used them as a project for someone else to use in their main project. This piece is successful because the person was able to complete their project in time thanks to everybody's help. If I were to do it again I would be able to make good ones because I didn't know how to make the fortune tellers originally. From this assignment, I learned that art doesn't have to be just something you can see. It can apply to any of the 5 senses. Together, me and tons of others helped him create this art piece by making the call. If I were to do this again, I wouldn't answer the question with a common answer, and instead give an answer that is more unique to help make it a better project for the artist. |
