For this project I began it thinking I was only going to use a picture like everybody else but while I was looking on Pinterest I saw a unique 5 point perspective project and decided that was what I wanted to do instead. The project I originally saw was an inverted 5 Point perspective piece but I wanted my buildings to come out as if you were looking at earth from space. The artist had used only pencil for their drawing but I chose to use multiple mediums which were pencil and colored pencil, while using pen to outline the buildings. I liked doing the 5-Point perspective because it was something I had never tried before. At first it seemed too far out of my comfort zone and I was worried that when I tried to do it, it wouldn't turn out well. I was also scared of using the different mediums and thinking they wouldn't work well together but while using them, I learned different ways of adding value. For example, with the pencil I learned how to develope a light source when I never really gave thought as to where a light source would come from I just figured you shade one side dark and another side light, but after learning how to add value right it made my buildings look much more realistic. Another technique I learned to use was how to blend with colored pencils. At first you need a base color, but there's also colors that are almost "hidden" within the colors you're actually trying to show so you need to add those and blend the two colors together until the color looks right.
